cypress 2

has any one out there been experencing problems with there cypress 2 just turning off.a buddy of mine seems to have this problem,

I would say let a rigger take a look at it first.

Also, if I remember correctly, the Cypres manual says that if the unit turns itself off is because there is something wrong.

My Cypress2 dont do that, and right... if it turns off less than 14hours should be a battery problems and for that send it back to airtec.

I heard of this happening a few weeks back at my DZ. Someone wanted to look at the new unit, and informed the owner that it was off. This was a big suprise to the owner.

I don't understand why this should be assumed to be a battery problem.

There was recently a buletin released about some faulty control unit diplay processors. I posted about it here, but can't seem to remember where. The unit remains on and functional, but the display turns off. Cycling the unit (off/on) will reset it.
