zoobrothertom 5 #3 March 24, 2011 With F-111 7 cells you can get under a 100 feet with a slower terminal velocity than ZP canopies. I've done it many times. ____________________________________ I'm back in the USA!!

BillyVance 34 #5 March 24, 2011 Quote the lowest I have seen was "recovery arc" Going from break-off directly to flaring the landing is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. You only get one chance to get it right. Peterkn 17 #8 March 24, 2011 Zero feet, and we impacted on a concrete runway - not recommended! Safe breakoff height depends on canopy choice, wind conditions, your orientation to the windline immediately before breakoff, other traffic in the circuit and the skill/experience of the canopy pilots. Although skydivers will appreciate the difference between a breakoff at 400’ and one at 100’, most members of the public won’t. Keep it high and safe; take it from someone who knows! Pete.
