outrager 6 #1 June 25, 2002 Yo ! This past weekend at Orange VA was a blast. There were 22 new birdmen, and most made more than one flight I finally got to fly my new suit, what a sweet toy! Slowed it to 39mph (ProTrack 2min average), will take GPS up once i learn to fly it a bit better. The naked party ruled, and the rest was fun too bsbd! Yuri. SkymonkeyONE 4 #2 June 25, 2002 Right on, Yuri! I wish I could have been there. Unfortunately, I got tied up here in Fayetteville. I am sure it was a hoot! What did you buy?
ostrich 0 #3 June 25, 2002 The party at Orange was awesome as usual. Before this weekend I had never planned on jumping on of those crazy contraptions, but after a two way, I was hooked. 5 demo jumps later and I was writing a check to Jari. Now I just have to wait 8 weeks...

DanG 1 #5 June 25, 2002 Thanks again for coming to the big O to both Jari and Yuri. The weekend was awesome. I figured I would make one jump on a suit just to check it out. It was like my first jump all over again, but just the good parts. I got in seven Birdman flights with only one cut away. Thanks for helping me find my main, Ostrich, I got it out of the tree yesterday. Now I know the Stiletto is not the best Birdman canopy out there. - Dan G - Dan G
ostrich 0 #6 June 25, 2002 Yeah Yeah...Blame it on the suit. We all know it was because you couldn't fly stable on your belly if your life depended on it.
Macaulay 0 #7 June 25, 2002 Flying a Sabre 120 loaded at 1.5. I had to decide whether I wanted to spend money on a new canopy with about 13 less square feet, or hold onto what I have and go for the wingsuit. I think I made the right choice. August seems so far away, but as long as I'm skyflying before the Freedom Jam (Skydive Oregon's boogie), I'll be happy. - Mac
Macaulay 0 #8 June 25, 2002 What model/colors of suit did you get? Just curious. - Mac
SkymonkeyONE 4 #9 June 26, 2002 Dude, so long as you have someone else to fly with, you will never tire of a wingsuit. Besides, the Sabre will be fine with the wingsuit and you will be able to get another main later.. Chuck
Macaulay 0 #10 June 26, 2002 Hmmm... maybe that was misinterpreted, or maybe I'm misinterpreting your post. Looking at my post, I wrote it retardedly. I DID order a wingsuit -- Birdman GTi. My canopy will last me for years. My rant was that I have to wait another 5 - 6 weeks (production just started) for it, but that it should be ready in time for the boogie. Three other guys at SDO split the money on a GTi, so I'll have three fellow Bridmen, albeit one at a time. Dwayne jumps a GTi and a Skyflyer, but primarily for BASE. He might jump them at the DZ more if there are people to jump with. - Mac
