ostrich 0 #1 August 20, 2002 Protrack setting: SAS or TAS for wingsuit jumps? Any preference? Does it matter if you just consistently use one? I was doing 2 ways with guy this weekend and he's set to TAS, I was SAS. Though we were both flying together, there were some different readings in speed. quade 4 #2 August 20, 2002 The ProTrack actually records in a way that you can switch back and forth between the two. IF you were trying to match fall rates, say you just moved to a new DZ and wanted to know what the locals were doing for fall rate, you might want to consider using SAS as that is specifically what it was designed to do. If, on the other hand, you want to know the efficiency of your skydive or want to record it as some sort of record, then TAS would be more appropriate as it is the closest thing we're likely to see in terms of true airspeed.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
