Blas 0 #1 February 17, 2003 Hi I can get a nice deal at my dz on a crossbow but its cut away system seems strange to me maybe because I have never see it before but is there a functional diference between the birdman and crossbow cutaway and if it is what is it and wich one you rather. Thanks I've never seen a crossbow, but I heard that it cuts everything with one handle -- which sounds neat.. however keep in mind, in most malfunctions you don't need to cut away your wings to do your emergency procedures.. (although cutting your wings will sometimes allow you to correct the problem before it gets to the point of cutting away). Kevin
LouDiamond 1 #3 February 17, 2003 I saw a crossbow while at Eloy and the single cut away in the middle of the chest might work great with the way that suit is built. Compared to a BM suit the crossbow looks like a heavy duty garment bag. The materials are differnt as are the suit cuts which ,If I understand correctly, is due to the way the crossbow inflates. I don't know how good of a deal your getting but it's my understanding that those who had crossbows now own BM suits. Chuck, where you at? I now you have some good poo-poo on this one."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
SkymonkeyONE 4 #4 February 18, 2003 Yep, the system on a Crossbow might be "simple," but I really didn't like the way the handles got sucked up in the rig. I can't say that I would ever purchase on and not be concerned about just that flaw. Chuck
