GroundZero 0 #1 May 21, 2003 After about 500 Bird-Man jumps, someone let me borrow a Pro-track... well after 3 jumps with it... I bought one (and the jump-track too). So here is a flight with my Skyflyer doing 2 way with a Xaos21-53. We are flying pretty relative... even with a 180 degree turn in there... Yea I know Jari and Vladi have already docked.... but has anyone done 2 points yet? Chris (Thanks for the assistance Craig!)
GroundZero 0 #2 May 21, 2003 doh! forgot the graph...... too big... give me a minute to scale it down...
GroundZero 0 #3 May 21, 2003 here we go again bear with me... Chris
GroundZero 0 #5 May 21, 2003 i knew that would be the first question... No but we plan to document it in the future... I can see the problems with video... I think the best video would be from telemeters...
SkymonkeyONE 4 #6 May 21, 2003 Agreed. Old school telemeters (which we have plenty of here at Raeford) do a fine job of ground to air video. Hell, the system the Golden Knights style team has is totally bad-ass. Anyway, what am I reading here? Chris, did you dock on someone jumping Mikeal Stevens' canopy? GroundZero 0 #7 May 22, 2003 Mikeal jumping his canopy... very very very close but no cigar...yet. We both agree it looks very do-able, but we were more surprised how we remained "relative" through a 180 degree turn... so I'm thinking not only could we get a dock, but release and then let him front riser below for another dock on the same jump. You know make it a 2-point jump... To make it even easier, we were thinking of letting Jeffrey Mullins jump the 53. (he's about 15 -20 pounds heavier...) Not yet... but give it some time... we need to plan to make a day of attempts, but he's on the other side of the state... we'll get together sometime... if only I didn't have to do this "work" thing... SkymonkeyONE 4 #8 May 22, 2003 I like Mike; he is a good kid. As to the 53: if T.J. Landgren can land it (I watched at Atlanta last year), then it's all good. Putting lead on Mikeal would accomplish the same thing. Chuck
