JFC3 0 #28 September 24, 2003 I've got more than 50 pack jobs. Not in a row and not in a while. I've got 5 bucks. I'll pay it and take whatever I get. I'm not proud. Just lazy. "Five days? But I'm angry now!"
kaerock 1 #29 September 24, 2003 I pack for extra cash, so speed is money is jumps. The larger the canopy the longer it takes, I deal with new ZP very well, so that doesn't add much time. I can pack a napkin (Velocity sub 100sqft) in a couple of minutes, while a 280 Navigator takes probably 5-10 minutes. Unfortunately most people that want their stuff packed fly blimps :< I KNOW TANDEMS SMALLER THAN THAT THING. j/k :> -R You be the king and I'll overthrow your government. --KRS-ONE
SkydiveNFlorida 0 #30 September 24, 2003 Ray's great!! :D I am pretty new at this, but i've not done too bad lately, about 20 minutes. But, that is putting a 150sf into a bag that I think is made for a 170sf or maybe even a 190sf. So, my time is about to go UP considerably!! Angela. Dana420247 0 #36 September 30, 2003 15 minuts is a very good time when I teach people how to pack I always tell them to try to work the time down to 25 minuts or less within the first 50-100 pack jobs thats not too hard but some poeple just are a little slower than others but then both of my parents jumped 1000+ jumps each mom went slow only had 1 or 2 mals dad was faster 6+ mals people always gave her shit but I guess it paid off

ZigZag 0 #41 October 4, 2003 What about the real issues... PRO : Proper Ram Air Orientation! Line tension, no knots, slider up against the slider-stops, stabilizers oriented outboards, slider-deflation line(s) re-set, proper line stows or clean free-stows with the new version of D-bags that might hit the market soon, proper riser placement for the configuration of a given rigs riser covers, etc., and least but not last a good closing loop that won't break on climb-out,(lest you want to get your head chopped off by an otherwise airworthy horizontal stabilizer), well stowed excess break lines?, properly set brakes? Most do a good job. Just keep the basics in mind!!!
