dragon2 2 #2 June 4, 2003 Quotedoes anyone know the current delivery times for the pantz? the website says 6 weeks but is that to be believed? Got mine in 8 weeks (think the website says 6-8 weeks). ciel bleu, Saskia
SkymonkeyONE 4 #3 June 4, 2003 Did you custom order them? Last time I was there, there were some in stock.
spidermonky 0 #4 June 4, 2003 Would you recommend these pantz to skydiving newbies? I love tracking dives and want to fly the bridman as soon as I get more experience. Would I notice a huge difference between these pantz and an RW suit with booties? Any scary situations I could get myself into with these things? Thanks
ManBird 0 #5 June 5, 2003 Quotedoes anyone know the current delivery times for the pantz? the website says 6 weeks but is that to be believed? If you buy stock, you'll get them fast. But with your colors you'll probably have to go custom, so expect 6 - 8 weeks."¯"`-._.-¯) ManBird (¯-._.-´"¯" Click
grasshopper 0 #6 June 5, 2003 QuoteDid you custom order them? of course I ordered them custom. the stock sizing isn't quite my size, and as macaulay stated, not my colors. so 6-8 weeks is most likely going to be accurate?
grasshopper 0 #7 July 30, 2003 Quote But with your colors you'll probably have to go custom, so expect 6 - 8 weeks. so I did get them in exactly 8 weeks, and they fit and fly great right out of the box. but the color is a sore spot for me. they won't do the logo in any color but red, so I have red and green on my pantz. I look like x-mas in them. so I need to pick the stiching out of the embroidery. that should be good for an hour of entertainment.
ManBird 0 #8 July 30, 2003 Mine are on the way and, fortunately, are black and red. Congrats on the pants. They kick ass. I forget, Do you have a freefly jacket? Definitely recommended to balance out a track... unless tracking isn't what you're using them for. And my main was stolen."¯"`-._.-¯) ManBird (¯-._.-´"¯" Click
pyke 0 #9 July 31, 2003 QuoteWould I notice a huge difference between these pantz and an RW suit with booties? This brings up a good point...I have a pair on the way - and am wondering if anyone has flown Pantz in RW....do they work?? Do they inflate too much at the ankle and cause too much of a head-down effect? I'm thinking of sending my RW suit in for repairs (potentially out of pocket 4 weeks) and would need a suit in the mean time - would these work in a pinch?? Anyone....anyone....!?? Spizzzarko 0 #10 August 1, 2003 What about using them for AFF, how about tandems? Are they comproble to Booties, or do they have more drive? I like booties for AFF, and I have tony pants for tandems, but changing from suit to suit to suit all day long when making work jumps is a pain in the ass. Are any of you guys instructors who use them? That's all I have to ask about that.
ManBird 0 #11 August 1, 2003 Supposedly, the freefly version of Pantz is very popular with instructors, and that you get more leg power out of the Pantz than any other suit outside of a wingsuit. Supposedly, wingsuits aren't very practical for tandems. Supposedly."¯"`-._.-¯) ManBird (¯-._.-´"¯" Click
grasshopper 0 #12 August 2, 2003 Quoteif anyone has flown Pantz in RW....do they work?? Do they inflate too much at the ankle and cause too much of a head-down effect? disclaimer:I only have 4 jumps on the pantz, and am not an instructor. I would think they would work fine for rw if you tend to fall faster anyway, but they slow down my fall rate something fierce. I got no head down effect, even with a short sleeve shirt on, at pull time. I also have done a 5-way tracking jump with others just in freefly clothes, and I found myself arching alot, and flying arms down to avoid outdriving them. at break-off I got about double the distance as someone I was tracking next to, as well as more altitude.________________________________________________________ Abbie drove me to Idaho and all I got was this lousy sigline
grasshopper 0 #13 August 2, 2003 Quote Do you have a freefly jacket? Definitely recommended to balance out a track... why? a long sleeve shirt works just as well, and is a bunch cheaper. plus, I can get a long sleeve shirt without a red logo QuoteAnd my main was stolen. I feel your pain. you know I do. mine was recovered, but not the way we hoped. look for bad karma to happen to a couple certain people. do you need to borrow a canopy? I have a 135 sabre collecting dust that I'd ship to you if you want. I know it is big, but at least it is out of trim it's yours if you want, on risers and I can arrange a d-bag.________________________________________________________ Abbie drove me to Idaho and all I got was this lousy sigline
LouDiamond 1 #14 August 5, 2003 The pantz totaly rock in the sky. I have sold more pairs of Pants in the last few days then I thought imaginable. After speaking to two guys on the ground about the pantz and giving them a pair each to go demo they came back tde o the Birdman tent with credit card in hand. They went on a tracking dive with a buddy in a RW bootie suit and totaly smoked him wearing just the pantz and T-shirt. The best way to sell pantz here at the WFFC is to let people demo them. I have only had one person bring them back and not buy them and they didn't take them up to try. A side effect I and others who already have the pantz have noticed is that women can't seem to keep themselves from smacking or grabbing a men ass who are wearing the pantz. vidiot 0 #15 August 5, 2003 Don't know about RW, but I'm thinking about getting a new video suit with legs similar to the pantz instead of booties. Should provide lot's of lift when belly down and deflate when flying in a sit/on my back. Booties tend to catch air...My Logbook
bbarnhouse 0 #16 August 9, 2003 I have the pantz and Sangiro tested a pair as well. All I can say is that they exceeded all of my expectations. Birdman will be on hand at the Holiday Boogie in Eloy. These pantz simlpy rock the ever livin' hen house......trackin' faster than a pixie ever should...

bbarnhouse 0 #18 August 9, 2003 QuoteMy white Pantz are very smacky-booty. Yes and his booty got smacked, grabbed and otherwise fondled in those pantz. Why he was so busy smacking girls hands away with the fly swat.....yeah..that's it!

VectorBoy 0 #20 August 12, 2003 I got the Pantz and was VERY impressed with their forward drive. I had to detune my body as to not leave the others on a couple of tracking jumps I led behind, way behind! I can't wait to take them head down. And cannot wait to see what they can do in a full on fierce competitive tracking jump. I was lucky to get them in my colors and just wore a long sleeve shirt with no head down effect. At the WFFC anyone with pantz got their hiney assualted by the ladies, your mileage may differ.

Course it wasn't the ladies doin' the smackin' Then there were the Louisiana Leg Hounds but that's another story
Austin 0 #22 August 13, 2003 Well, I was one of the two guys that LouDiamond was referring to in his post...and yes, we both totally blew away our friend tracking in his RW suit like he was standing still. He said that we got so far away from him that it was hard to see us. Needless to say, my girlfriend is happy that I ended up buying the stock blue, yellow and black pantz that they had (which happened to match my rig perfectly also). Kick ass product all the way, can't wait until I can try the Birdman suits!! Austin
jsyslo 0 #23 August 16, 2003 Lookin at the Pantz option, but to slow down my HD. Ive read lots of post on the increase in leg power and tracking...but whatta bout slowin a big guy down while HD?? Any feedback would be appreciated. WoohOOOOOOOO!!!!Blue Skies!
LouDiamond 1 #24 August 18, 2003 Based on my experience and feed back from what I would call the "big boys" in Rantoul I would say that the big guys may see a slower fall rate than what they are used to but nothing drastic, it's not like a drouge chute. If slowing down is what your looking for the pantz will help you out a bit but they won't solve all of your fall rate issues. I personally don't find that they slow me down too much as I'm not a "big guy" and other FFers have no issues staying with me and vicea versa."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
billvon 3,070 #25 August 18, 2003 >and am wondering if anyone has flown Pantz in RW . . . Amy has, and had no problem keeping them 'uninflated.' They also do wonders for your track. I can jump with her in a Classic with her wearing the pantz and a long sleeve T-shirt and fly with her with no problems (dearched a lot, but not hard to do.)
