kevin922 0 #1 July 14, 2003 Okay this is getting aggriviating, 2 or 3 jumps this past weekend i took it out far and was maxing the suit out the whole time.. on EVERY JUMP the protraks read that i deployed around 18 - 22 seconds out the door.. One was in my shoe one was on my goggles.. when i fly dirty everything is kosher.. any idea what is going on here? Anyone know how slow you have to go to fool the protrak into thinking you deployed? (these are the "wingsuit" protraks in slo mode) Kevin
TB99 0 #2 July 14, 2003 From the ProTrack Manual: QuoteA different exit slope parameter is chosen in the software and after the canopy is deployed and the unit senses a descent rate of less than 13 m/sec for a minimum 6 sec., a new rate of descent to activate the last warning alarm (siren) is automatically set to 29 m/sec. Edited to add: 13 meter/second = 29.0801718 mile/hour (mph) 29 meter/second = 64.8711525 mile/hour (mph) Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked! ManBird 0 #3 July 14, 2003 Where are you wearing it? When I used to wear it on my helmet, I was pretty much guaranteed to shut the thing off after about 20 seconds. Looking around will throw the speed off by about 8 - 10 MPH. Flying the S3 ~40 down, a glance to the right will make it think you're at 30 MPH or less, and will shut off. I wear it in my front pants pocket now. My charts come out really clean, and the only time it shuts off prematurely is when I actually do get under 30, like after a swoop."¯"`-._.-¯) ManBird (¯-._.-´"¯" Click
lewmonst 0 #4 July 16, 2003 I was just going to post about this... I think i stalled the suit at one point, and my protrack was convinced I deployed at 8500. I know i deployed at 4000. so I'm not sure exactly how long my flight was. I think L&B should send us new pro-tracks that can handle birdmen. peace lewhttp://www.exitshot.com

I borrowed a 2nd protrak had one on my goggles and one on my foot.
