lurch 0 #1 September 7, 2003 Simple question: How many birdman wingsuit flyers are there anyway? Anyone know? Is there a Birdman census going on or what? Just curious as to the actual size of the flock. If you got them all in one place at one time how big would the crowd be? I'm not talking tried it once people I'm talking about owns and jumps one people. Have a Birdman Boogie? Are there enough birdmen to even get enough together to HAVE a birdboogie?Live and learn... or die, and teach by example.
SkymonkeyONE 4 #2 September 7, 2003 There have already been some pretty mad BirdMan gatherings. That said, there are a LOT more people out there who have made wingsuit flights, but do not own suits. It would be incredibly hard to determine how many people have actually jumped the suits. Chuck

greybeard 0 #4 September 8, 2003 show up at the holiday boogie at skydive arizona and start counting. the representative sample expects to be large. you might check with bird-man and ask for the sales of suits number, then multiply by at least three. ernokaikkonen 0 #5 September 9, 2003 Quoteyou might check with bird-man and ask for the sales of suits number, then multiply by at least three. If were talking about: QuoteI'm talking about owns and jumps one people shouldn't that be number of suits sold minus some(since some people have several suits. Bastards.)? Although I don't suppose many suits sit there gathering dust in someone's closet... I'm sure most of them are seeing good use. The number of Birdman suits sold would probably be a reasonably accurate estimate of the number of Birdpeople... Jari, is this a business secret or can you give us at least a ballpark figure on the number of suits sold?
bskyz 0 #6 September 9, 2003 I don't know if they are ordered by type of suit, but I just ordered a S3, and it is number 1,301 which sounds about right. _____________________________________________ Blue ones Dave Blue ones Dave My site...
ManBird 0 #7 September 10, 2003 That does sound about right. I'd guess that many suits are out there, about 2/3 as many are BirdPeople and 2.5 times as many have flown them. My guess is based on no sort of data whatsoever. Just a guess."¯"`-._.-¯) ManBird (¯-._.-´"¯" Click
