LRQS?

I got one on the S3 haven't used it. Although I don't base it might be nice to have if I have to land out and didn't have enough time to deal with my zippers let say due to dealing with a spinning mal and lower than proper reserve opening altitude.

These are all what ifs, my preference would be to have less clutter down by my wing cuttaways . Which I have executed strictly by feel on my non LQRS classic VERY quick suprising myself how clean and easy it was.

Some people feel it adds to the suits resale value.

In around 80 wingsuit jumps I used my LQRS for the first time last weekend. It coincided with my first opening with line twists on my wingsuit.

It was all too easy - casually unzip the arms, casually pull the LQRS cable to instantly free a leg, then kick out of twists like I used to do 10 or 15 years ago (did I mention that I haven't had any sort of line twists on any sort of skydive for 10 or 15 years?).

So I'm now convinced - it's a very useful option.

I had a serious linetwist this weekend on a GTI. I cut the arms but still couldn't kick out the twist because of the legwing. So if I buy a suit; LQRS. NO doubt!

PZ - I got one on my new suit...pretty much for the reason that kevin922 gave.

all it takes is that first time you wish you had it...to know! "better safe...."

couldnt agree more, I found myself with severe line twists , one time on opening, (thriatlon 135) and I could not kick !! I remeber thinking.. damn i wish i had leg cutaway, (i dont think they had that option available then)
eventually the twists undid themselves, but i know if i had been flying an stiletto or any other elipthical,
that would had been a silver pull
(try to dance disco with your arms and legs tied up and youll get an idea) :)

Never needed it on my GTi (and don't have one on it either), but I've used it twice on my S3. Once after a cutaway, when I didn't have time to unzip the legs. The other was when a bootie came off in flight and there was too much slack in the leg wing to get the zipper undone.

On the cutaway, I probably could have just waddled in and been just fine. On the other one, I was already planning and pretty much committed to landing downwind, and definitely needed the LQRS, as I did not have the altitude to safely make it over to the main landing area from the high performance side (would have crossed the runway low, broken into the pattern, etc). I would never get another suit without it.

If I can get it on both sides on my next suit, I will. When I lost a bootie the first time, I lucked out because the bootie came off on the same side as the LQRS. If it came off on the other side, I would not have been able to remove the bootie.

I'm definitely getting it. Jari summed it up pretty well today when we were talking about it.....he said it's the ONLY cutaway he's ever had to use on the suit, due to bad line twists.
