Aviatrr 0 #1 September 29, 2003 Just curious what kind of average vertical speeds people are getting on the Classic and GTi suits. My last 6 jumps have been consistently 71-73mph(pro track set to SAS) in a Classic 1. I feel like I'm getting near max performance out of this suit...when I start a turn, it seems that the wings want to stall(starts buffeting). I can't wait to get my SF3. PhreeZone 20 #2 September 29, 2003 I'm getting averages on my Classic2 of about 52-54 on most my jumps and I'm seeing upper 40's as the bottom half average about 1 in 5 jumps now. Flocking with others seems to add about 15-20mph to my speeds. First few jumps on a Skyflyer demo I was upset since my speeds went from 53ish to 75ish again and it took a few jumps to relearn the new suit. My S3 will be here any day Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
LouDiamond 1 #3 September 29, 2003 QuoteMy S3 will be here any day Thats a pretty good estimate. I saw a lot of suits being setup for shipment the other day when I was at Birdman. There should be a lot of happy faces in the coming weeks"It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
NeedToJump 0 #4 September 29, 2003 I did two jumps on a Classic, my first was with a BMI so I didn't try to see what kind of performance I could get out of it, I just stayed with him. My second one, according to the Protrack, I had an average speed of 61 mph, 60 for the first half and 62 for the second half.Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

gus 1 #6 September 29, 2003 Absolutely maxed out for the whole flight in my GTi I've had a 46 average and a handful of 47s. It's a shame I'm too weedy to do more than a couple of them in a row! GusOutpatientsOnline.com
ManBird 0 #7 September 29, 2003 I was in the mid 50s for awhile on my GTi, but after getting my S3, flying it a lot, and working my arms out in order to fly it, when I revisit the GTi I get high 40s to low 50s, with the occassional fifteen second sweet spot down to the low 40s, and very temporary (ie, after a swoop) points under 40 for a few seconds. I also have about 180 GTi flights. General, all-purpose GTi flying for those that have less than 100 GTi flights will usually find themselves anywhere in the 50s, and often the low 60s. This can vary depending on one's build."¯"`-._.-¯) ManBird (¯-._.-´"¯" Click
