That was a series of planned dives between myself and the pilot. I have no inclination to become aquainted with a horizontal stabalizer any time soon. ;)

Is something like taking a stabilizer to the back of the head "planned"?
Be safe....r.
Things may look cool for the video, but we sure wouldn't want to lose a fellow Flocker because he was being cool for a video.

The video may be out of sequence,

FYI
The vid is not out of sequence. I played it from the start of the weekend to the last jump. I edited out alot of unneed footage.

Keep inmind Jake had only like 13 BM jumps at the time, and is still learning (like we do on everyjump). But I must say that he flies very well for someone with that number of BM jumps. Keep up the good stuff Jake!

PS Manbird... is SDO skydive Oregon? If so I might be out in the eugene/ coos bay area in dec...

Cool. Yeah, he definitely improves over the course of the video, then. And he does do very well for only thirteen flights. Good stuff... he just might be able to slap a S3 on a little earlier than some of us did. Good stuff.

No, it's not. Just like no one plans on going in but we all know shit happens. Which is why I did my risk assesment and discussed it with the pilot and took it easy on those dives. The farthest thing from my mind was video on those jumps. Had it been I would of worn my own camera helmet. It just so happens that Leroy caught those flights on tape and they made it into his movie. One can never be too safe but one is never really safe as long as you are living in this world.;)

Sweet! When in December (I'll be at the boogie in Eloy during/after Christmas)? Weather here usually sucks at Skydive Oregon in December. Eugene may have better weather at the time. If SDO is weathered out, we could meet in Eugene. Even if the weather sucks for jumping, we should meet up so I can buy you some Mirror Pond Pale Ale (which will likely prevent you from leaving Oregon).

One can spread his wings "safely" after he has cleared the aircraft that he has left from in order to possibly jump again......

Be safe.

The weather's unusually good right now, but usually sucks from October to around April, with some breaks in between. So you'll be up here at the end of November? Well, I'll be down there. Maybe you should just stay put so we can do some flocking.
