I'll let some of the more experienced BMI's talk about the wingsuit choice but I'll just give my opinion on the canopy selection... Its a BAD IDEA. expecially on the early wingsuit flights. I've had some spinners on my larger canopy that has made me look at switching to an easier to deal with main. The openings on a wingsuit jump are not like a normal jump. Even a slammer canopy opens good on a flight. But the lack of mobility in the suit is very easy to see trying to kick out of line twists or something.

I've still got better proformance on my Classic then on my S3.

And a Xaos 88 at 350 jumps... :|

Well seeing how that particular suit isn't manufactured any more, it seems rather high. You very well could get a custom made suit from Birdman or order from Matter or the S-fly from fly your body. The Matter and S-fly are actually newer and improved versions of the original crossbow. They may be a bit more in price but the performance difference between the two is worth the money IMO. You will find that more people are flying the Birdman suit and are familiar with it than the Matter/S-fly suits right now. If you are set on buying the crossbow I would suggest you haggle with the guy to come down on the price regardless of it's condition.

or maybe you can help me finding a birdman suit thanks Lou

About the thing that is a bad idea jumping my Xaos , I just feel so comfortable jumping it that I just wouldnt feel good jumping another canopy . I jumped a classic with my crossfire and no problem , and now better my xaos opens much more on heading than my crossfire...

Ultimately, it comes down to your confidence in your canopy. If you have great openings with that canopy WITHOUT having to touch your risers, then it ought to be alright. If you have to touch them at all to control the opening, then you are going to have a hard time in a wingsuit. That said, I have a lot of BirdMan jumps under a Cobalt 75 as well as a Velocity 75 and 79 with no problems. Thatls a lie: I chopped last December under a spinning Cobalt.

At any rate, if you are going to fork out five hundred dollars US for a wingsuit, the damn thing better fit good.

Peace,
Chuck
