PhreeZone 20 #1 October 28, 2003 I've taught more then one person from my home DZ that had the 500 jumps or more how to fly before (And one that had about 300 jumps ) , how many others have done the same with out officially having a BM-I rating?Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
TB99 0 #2 October 28, 2003 Most I ever did before I got my BM-I was just give tips to people already jumping the suit ... now it doesn't matter Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
VectorBoy 0 #3 October 28, 2003 I helped out with the overflow at rantoul and was happy to do it. Myself and friends have loaned spare suits to experienced jumpers and staff and joined them for their first. I have taken up newbies that I could vouch for their skills and just would have done it through the flight school @ my DZ but contacting me was a more convenient option. During a big way camp I was approached by quite a few visiting experienced jumpers who wanted to be taken up on their first flights. They were bummed out when I told them I only had one spare suit and wasn't affiliated with any of the schools or staff. I recommended they contact the flight school on monday when the Boyz would be back from an off DZ boogie, most of these jumpers would be gone by monday so there was no joy. PhreeZone 20 #4 October 28, 2003 I helped out with the overflow at WFFC and had a great time doing it! My spare suit has seen the air more times then I have at my DZ since I loan it out almost every weekend. Thanks to me loaning it out there have been my S3 purchase, a GTI and now its looking like there are 2 more people buying suits. I'm getting my own private flock going With the nearest Offical BMI over 6-7 hours away... I'm not sure where to point people that are interested in only learning from an offical BMI.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
VectorBoy 0 #5 October 28, 2003 We now have JP "El diablo" resident BMI in our backyard so he is available on weekends. But before that some of the sanctioned BMIs here and passing by had a shady rep. Shady enough that most of the new wingsuiters just soloed it sans the suspect "instructer". Hopefully JP can represent. Wingsuits are taking off! The fact my classic has double the jumps as a loaner than what I put on it is a testament to the disease.
