Supergeil 0 #1 January 2, 2004 I got a Protrack so I'm curious to know if it's better at some points and worth buying? Supergeil
dragon2 2 #2 January 2, 2004 There are threads about the software and about bugs... However I have one and getting another one too. Plus points for me are the logging capabilities for CF/hopnpops and BirdMan. The pro-track doesn't log CF at all, the Neptune does. The pro-track stops at 119 secs of freefall, the Neptune keeps going; cool for BM. The Neptune can act as either an audible of visual alti, thus far I've only used it as an audible. This frees my pro-track for mounting on my ankle for a more accurate reading for BM. For CF I'll probably try using the Neptune as an alti but I'm not sure I like a digital alti at all, yet. ciel bleu, Saskia

cvfd1399 0 #4 February 12, 2004 I just ordered one( backordered for a week). I can't find it anywhere, but will it come with the lastest firmware update, or when I get it do I have to play catch up?
nicknitro71 0 #5 February 12, 2004 I was probably among the first buyers. I went throgh all the updates. There were still few bugs on the version .21. All the bugs I had on mine were addressed on the .25 according to Alti. One thing, their CS is outstanding. Despite the bugs I would still buy one.Memento Audere Semper

I have to add that the customer service from Klaus at Paralog is just as outstanding. He is incredibly fast with answers and help, and has addressed any and all bugs I found, usually within a day, sometimes even less. I say this as a beta tester for the software. I have not jumped since November (damn weather), and thus have not even bought a license yet. I will be buying one as soon as I get back in the air though. It's all $$$ related, not quality related. The Neptune: Worth it! Paralog: Worth it! Conclusion: Get them! It's your life, live it!
