Supergeil 0 #1 January 8, 2004 Seems to get quite fast openings on it 135sf loaded 1.6? Supergeil
FrogNog 1 #2 January 9, 2004 Try putting the slider up and see if that helps. -=-=-=-=- Pull.
SkymonkeyONE 4 #3 January 9, 2004 Some gawk when I do it, but I always stack pack my Sabre2. I played around with it for a long time trying different methods and have found that the old-school stack pack provides the straightest openings. For reference, I load my 97 at 1.83. VectorBoy 0 #4 January 9, 2004 What is a stack pack? Is that like a flat pack?
SkymonkeyONE 4 #5 January 9, 2004 Yes, it's a variety of flat pack. Lay on side; roll nose to A's; flip A's on top of B's; pull C's on top of A/B's; pull D's on top of A/B/C's; set brakes; flake tail; pull up slider; stick it in the bag.
Supergeil 0 #6 January 10, 2004 That sounds like a lot of work how long does it take to pack that way?
LouDiamond 1 #7 January 10, 2004 QuoteThat sounds like a lot of work how long does it take to pack that way? Actually, it's fairly quick once you know how to do it. I'd say SM1 does it faster than most people PRO pack. The times I do it, it seems faster than the PRO pack as well."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
Supergeil 0 #8 January 10, 2004 Just an idea.....but how about take some pictures of the packing and put it on Flybirdman? I think Kevin would like that idea too!
SkymonkeyONE 4 #9 January 11, 2004 I can flat pack any parachute most parachutes faster than I PRO pack, which is to say _very_ quickly. In general, I never, ever PRO pack anything larger than a 150 because it's slower with all the material. I roll pack those canopies every single time. My Sabre2 has been PRO packed, stack packed, and roll packed; the stack pack opens straightest for me every time. Your milage may vary. Chuck
Aviatrr 0 #10 January 12, 2004 QuoteSeems to get quite fast openings on it 135sf loaded 1.6? Supergeil I psycho-pack my Sabre2 loaded a bit over 1.5. I push the nose back into the packjob, and make sure the slider is quartered - but other than that, nothing special. I found that pro-packing it gives me faster openings on WS jumps. gus 1 #11 January 12, 2004 I pack mine exactly the same as for any other jump and the openings are no better or no worse than normal. GusOutpatientsOnline.com
Supergeil 0 #12 January 12, 2004 Think i will try to push the nose back into the packjob Normaly i do nothing than roll the tail a bit and quarter the slider and just letting the nose hang in the front....
