J-Rock 0 #1 March 11, 2004 Just looking to see if anyone out there jumps a highly loaded spectre (about 1.5:1). Curious as to the stablility and how it works on birdman jumps. I need to downsize, so im looking for a canopy that will work well with camera and birdman jumps as well as having a little bit of performance! J-Rock Im gonna need a bigger hammer.... rustik 0 #2 March 11, 2004 not as highly loaded as you mention, 1.34 to be exact but it is great for BM, cam and surfy landings If it's safe it ain't fun
Deuce 1 #3 March 12, 2004 I'm at 1.7. Very stable, very nice swoops, great openings. When I am due for a reline I will do the Gasson and go with Dacron. I'm loving both of mine.

J-Rock 0 #5 March 12, 2004 I use to jump a Hornet with dacron lines and ive heard since the they are stretchy they are a little more forgiving on the first initial "snatch" when your canopy deploys. I noticed my Hornet opened alot softer than other ones i jumped with Specta. Ive seen some camera flyers do this cause it seems to help if you have alot of equipment on your head. Oh and thanks for your help guys. J-Rock Im gonna need a bigger hammer....

Deuce 1 #7 March 12, 2004 Gasson jumps a small Spectre with Dacron lines because they open softer. With the load I like to carry on my head, that seems like a good idea. I have no interest at all in hard core swooping, so I don't mind that they slow the canopy down.
