kansasskydiver 0 #1 March 30, 2004 I'll be making my first solo jump this weekend. 182 dz, uppers are usually about 30-40knotts. About how fare out should I take the spot to not end up too fare out vs too close in? Any pointers?<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist!
LouDiamond 1 #2 March 30, 2004 A safe distance to go would be around a mile to a mile and a half past the spot just for starters then work your way further out. A lot really has to do with how well you are flying the suit at this point but you should have no issues 1 1/2 miles past."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
kansasskydiver 0 #3 March 30, 2004 sweet thanks. I didn't want to take it to short and then end up too close and then have to race up and down the line till i'm over the right spot, or take it too long and not make it to a good opening spot<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist! bodypilot1 0 #4 March 30, 2004 QuoteI'll be making my first solo jump this weekend. Any pointers? Scott explained it well, but the other pointer is "STOP BEFORE YOU GO TO THE DZ AND BUY BEER!" Have fun and be safe.www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
kansasskydiver 0 #5 March 30, 2004 Doesn't the DZ have to buy me beer too cause I'll be making the first BM flight there? Superwoman and SM1 called me already on my first jump (3 way) but this will be my first solo so I guess I have to buy for myself and the dz has to buy for me!<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist! bodypilot1 0 #6 March 30, 2004 You have to buy beer anytime you say the "F" word. Them are the rules.....(old school)www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
