Would like to do a second attempt!

Recommended Posts

I would like to attempt to organize another BM-I course for Skydive Alabama. The last one that I attempted to organize fell through due to a difficulty in scheduling. If you are interested in attending a BM-I course in June of this year in North Alabama, please email me at this address: "namdrib@dropzone.com" thanks and hopefully we can get this one done.

Hmm... that centers around my B-day. I will maybe have 50 WS jumps by then if my back heals anytime soon. How many jumps you need to be a BMI? I'm not in any way implying that with 50 WS jumps I'd be ready to be a BMI (in fact I'm pretty sure I wouldn't feel ready for that responsibility anytime soon), but I am curious what your criteria are.

The BMI course will teach current birdmen how to conduct a First Flight Course(FFC) and conduct a first flight with a potential student. It will cover aspects of flight and teaching techniques not found anywhere else in a standardized format. Each BMI candidate will be required to successfully give the FFC and conduct an in air evaluation that will be graded by a Birdman Chief Instructor. Prior teaching skills are highly recommended as the course has similarities to the AFF method of instruction and student interaction. BMI Candidates must posses demonstratable air skills and be able to fly in close proximity to other Birdmen regardless of their fall rate. This is a pass/fail type of course. The course fee is $300.00 US .Apon successful graduation new BMI's will be provided with applicable course materials, discounts on Birdman products and eligible for deals on other manufacturers products
