Remember that barrel cracking and stripped threads are not equipment failures but opperator failures. If the opperator didnt screw it up wrong it wouldn't be broken.

Slinks are just the same - you can screw up when putting them together with the result that they fail.

The real question I guess is which type of link is it easier to screw up with.
