BASE813 0 #26 October 3, 2003 i think that fjc's are taught to give a student bare minium to keep themselves alive - knowledge of the systems and equipment do not do that in the early stages. if someone is wanting to progress then knowledge about the systems is a must. We all have different levels of the knowledge we wish to know. i know some skydivers who do not know how to attach toggles, PC's, DB's, etc - but that wont kill them - unless they try without asking or jump new kit without it being checked out! - but some people just dont want to be that anal about their kit. Students have enough to deal with without knowing the physics involved in the 3 ring circus! just my 0.0000000000002 1940s deutshmarks
