LouDiamond 1 #1 October 29, 2004 Today at the Birdman boogie an in flight dock was accomplished by myself, Chris martin and Scarry perry with Jeffro who was flying the XOAS-21, 21SqFt canopy. The video footage is awesome(3 views) as are the stills. I will post some video grabs a bit later on after we're done jumping. We still have a High Speed downwind pass and a Hoop dive on the schedule for today. WE ARE NOT SUCKING IN ELOY!!

GroundZero 0 #4 October 30, 2004 I had fun today! ...for those of you who missed out today... better be Birding with us tomorrow... Let's make the next one a normal into the wind pass... i landed 2 miles out in the desert to pick up the Xaos21-21... walked all the way back only to discover that I left the d-bag for the canopy out there... walked back to the exact spot (Tennessee tracker skills!), picked up the d-bag and walked back... nice day for a 6 mile hike in the desert! If you ain't here for the FIRST annual Bird-Man Boogie, you better make plans for next Halloween! Eloy rocks! Chris
GroundZero 0 #5 October 30, 2004 Hey, I just noticed that my avatar is a shot you (Scott) took over Eloy last year... soon to be replaced with Perry's shot of the dock(s)... Ye-Freakin-Haaaaaa! Chris
Fritte 0 #6 October 30, 2004 Hey! Did you say he flew a xaos 21? Ok but what size was it? If he landed a 21 sqf canopy I still have a long way to downsize. Does a 21sqf even count as a canopy or just as a large pilotchute or drouge? Cool with your docking anyway.
bbarnhouse 0 #7 October 30, 2004 QuoteOk but what size was it 21 sq ft. No he didnt land it... The canopy is about the size of a kite! The film footage is amazing! Tonight is our annual Halloween Costume party...I'll be sure to get some pics

The111 1 #12 November 3, 2004 QuoteHow can anyone that ever met Chris not smile when he is remembered. I never met Chris, but he was at the Titusville Leap Year boogie doing tandem WS jumps (I knew who he was), and near the end of the night when everyone (including him, I presume) had had quite a few beers, I remember him running up out of nowhere, hugging me, and then running off. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
LouDiamond 1 #13 November 3, 2004 QuoteI will make public the photos In line with Kristi's wishes, I too will make the images I have of the dock public in a day or two. EDIT: While stills may be nice, I personaly feel there is nothing better than the actual video footage of the dock. I will try to get the actual footage up if time permits."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING

PhreeZone 20 #16 November 4, 2004 Run it through the Windows Media encoder: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/encoder/default.aspx About 384kbs and FM sound for broadband and 192kps and fm sound for the rest. Usually averages about a 20:1 compression.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

pilotdave 0 #21 November 8, 2004 For anyone having trouble with the 147 meg version, I re-encoded it with a tad more compression. A 7 meg version is available at http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=1811. Quality obviously isn't as good, but you can still see the jump. LouDiamond 1 #25 November 8, 2004 Scroll up to the top of the thread to Chris's post if you want to read about it. Chris followed it after cutaway and recovered it but he did have a little adventure in doing so."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
