The111 1 #1 December 24, 2004 With my new S3, I've noticed that you have to hold your wrists at a weird angle to use the grippers properly. Besides fatigue on my right wrist (which was broken in the past), I have noticed another small problem. My altimeter (Neptune) strap likes to sit right on my wrist joint, and it is thick and sort of stiff, which actually makes my left wrist less mobile. Has anyone else noticed this? Am I crazy? I am trying to make some sort of low profile strap that is not nearly as stiff and allows my wrist to move more freely...www.WingsuitPhotos.com
mccordia 74 #2 December 24, 2004 I usualy rotate my altimeter slighly onto my thumb-joint (I only have one finger through the 'loop' of the alti). So when I'm holding the grippers, my alti is pointing down (instead of being on top of your hand and pointing 'out)' This allows me to both see my altimeter without having to rotate my wrist and it doesn't limit my wrist in any way of motion. This is something purely done for comfort and easy viewing of my alti. Don't know if anyone else does it this way, but works fine for me..might give it a try...JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? bodypilot1 0 #3 December 24, 2004 Would you like alittle cheese withthat too Matt? Just getting used to the suit and the grippers will take some jumps to get used to. An injury that you got when you were a child should be something you should have gotten over years ago, by doing exercises with wieghts like wrist curls. It's not too late to start exercising it though. So, get out and do more jumps, so your wrist gets used to the grippers, BUT, dont get the point you think you HAVE to fly with them all the time, as doing docks will feel alittle weird when you have to let go of the gripper to do the dock with the other flocker, flocker. Just my .02 dude..... Be safe Edwww.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
The111 1 #4 December 24, 2004 Yes, I would like cheese... And I did several flock jumps the other day where I never touched my grippers because I was the skinniest guy on the jump. But I do like solos still and would like to do a 3 minute skydive one of these days... And the wrist curls are a good idea, thanks!www.WingsuitPhotos.com
