NSEMN8R 0 #1 December 31, 2004 This past summer I bought a Classic 2. I usually get stuck doing tandems all day so I only got to jump it about a dozen times all year and I'm the only one at our DZ that has one so they were all solos I won some free airline tickets to anywhere in the US in a contest at work. I'd like to go someplace warm in Feb. when the weather here in MI is at it's crappiest. Can anybody recommend a good place for a rookie bird to go and find some other people to jump with? I'd also like to get some coaching if it's available. Thanks for any suggestios. Tony
LouDiamond 1 #2 December 31, 2004 Florida (Deland, Zhills) and AZ. will be the warmest places that time of year and both have BMIs readily available as well as an established flock to fly with."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING

The111 1 #5 December 31, 2004 There is a boogie at Marco Island, FL in Feb. Not sure about other flockers, but I know I will be there doing WS only, even if it means solo. :) I'll do 2 ways with you if no one else is there, but I'll bet there will be other birds.www.WingsuitPhotos.com
NSEMN8R 0 #6 December 31, 2004 Thanks bodypilot1, but I don't think I can wait until Spring. I'm already getting edgy from the lack of sunshine and altitude around here. By March my wife will be ready to kill me if I dont' get out of here and go make some jumps somewhere. The111--- Marco Island sounds cool. What's the closest airport to fly into? How much are jumps going to be? I checked their website, but it doesn't say... Thanks

NSEMN8R 0 #11 January 3, 2005 I went to that last year. Had an awesome time! Beautiful place and very friendly locals. Got to check out the rain forest and the Tanama River. It was absolutely incredible! I'd definitely do it again, but I got these free airline tickets that are only good in the US. I guess I shouldn't bitch too much though. At least they're free..
