mccordia 74 #1 January 19, 2005 I've just uploaded a file to www.skydivingmovies.com It's a small experiment in adding protrack data on top of video. birdman_rotterdam.wmv (I'll add the link to this post as soon as it's available for download.) It's two guys from Skydive Rotterdam, Aeneus and Niels, making their first flights in their new GTi's. They've made some jumps in classics past summer, but these were their first few times back in the air in their new suits since a few months (they'd made a few solo jumps earlyer that day)JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? Hey cool..Curious to how he did it.. I just exported the protrack data as .txt and had it go by at 4fps (protrack interval)in After Effects. About 1 minute of work. His approach is probably better, it also calculates the changes inbetween the 4 fps sampling that protrack does.. And thanx for approving the file :)JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? cpoxon 0 #5 January 19, 2005 QuoteHey cool..Curious to how he did it.. He posted about it on rec.skydiving a while ago. I'm sure he posted the XL macro somewhere but I can't find it at the moment and he never did put the "detailed manual on how to smoothly blend data in a video" on his website. He's a recent poster to this website so maybe he'll pop by this thread and let us know?Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

Yeah shame on me! I was busy skydiving the last 2 years and too lazy in my spare time ! I sort of explained it in the rec.skydiving thread, but if there is still need for clarification I will try to post a more detailed explanation here. That executable windows file is still halfway finished, but at some point I just had more important stuff to program and forgot about it. Sorry guys!!! By the way there is a nice new Software out that works both with Neptune & ProTrack and is also capable of exporting jump profiles to ASCII files: Paralog Ich betrachte die Religion als Krankheit, als Quelle unnennbaren Elends für die menschliche Rasse.
