Sorry to hear about your aching back. I had the same problem in 1987. It took me 2 years of swimming and stretching and sit-ups to pull my spine back into alignment. Even today, it hurts when I get lazy about exercise. The sooner you resume exercising - to strengthen core muscles - the sooner you return to the air.
