sakaad 0 #1 May 2, 2005 Hey everyone, considering buying a Birdman suit but a little unsure as to which one. I havent had a jump of one as yet but am looking forward to having a go. My favourite type jumps above all is tracking jumps, and a wingsuit jump looks even more fun!! Is the Skyflyer 3 too much of a task for a 1st suit or would the GTR be more manageable? I dont want to buy something that I will get bored with too quickly and have to sell to upgrade as I have done many times before with different sports over the years. Any comments or advice would be appreciated, Thanks.
mccordia 74 #2 May 2, 2005 I'd rent a suit a couple of times. A classic or prodigy... Make a few jumps...then once you get the feel for flying it, try a few different suits to see which one you feel comfortable with and horny and turned on, THEN order a suit... When you buy an expensive car you also take it for a testdrive first...right!?JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
bodypilot1 0 #3 May 2, 2005 Hello Yes, an S3 may be abit too much for your first flights my friend. Try something with alittle less wing at first, then move up in wing size as you progress in your abilities to maximize the performance of the suit your learning in. If "flocking" with other wingsuit flyers is your goal, you'll sometimes find that you may not need the "biggest wing on the market" suit depending on your skills, or even your body size and structure. But regardless of which suit you learn in, get proper instruction on how to fly a wingsuit and proper instruction on emergency procedures. Be safe.
