Bird man anti line twist D bag

Recommended Posts

Bird man anti line twist D bag......as in one of the options on a Wings container? Is that what you're talking about? Check out this thread for a bit of info. It's basically a triangle of fabric sewn across the length of the dbag so the bag is extracted more evenly rather than just around the bridle attachment point. That's really badly described though :S.

It turns the dbag from:

[]----

to:

[]>---

Where [] is the bag, ---- is the bridle and > is the triangle of fabric.

I have it on my Wings but I can't say I've noticed a significant difference in my openings.

Edited to add: there's a pic of it on the Wings website.

I have it on my 2nd Wings container that I ordered with all the "BirdMan" options... it's a rather great idea, and I like how it keeps the bridle in the center of the d-bag at all times. I think I saw Greg Gasson jumping these kind of d-bags for wing suit jumps out in Eloy a couple of years ago and remember thinking that it was a great idea.

Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to put too many jumps on it while flying my Skyflyer, but the flights that I have done have had great openings. Kinda wishing I had that D-bag 2 weeks earlier since I had to cut away during a bad spinning/diving line twist incident during the Dublin Boogie.:S

Cheers!
