blair700 0 #1 May 20, 2005 Yo!! I have ZERO jumps on the Prodigy (ordering within a couple of weeks though) and was wondering if anyone is jumping this suit now with HP canopies. Personally, my wingsuit skydiving rig contains a larger Pilot, but now with a wingsuit that allows you to reach toggles/risers on opening, I'm thinking I'll be able to jump my elliptical canopy on this suit...? Thoughts anyone?? As of now the only suit I jump with my elliptical is my PF Tracking Suit . Damn this is an exciting time for human flight, THANKS ROBI!!!! nicknitro71 0 #2 May 20, 2005 I jump a S3 with a Viper 105 @ 1.64. Not the most conservative choice but it's a beautifully opening canopy. There is a lot of pilots doing WS jumps on highly loaded X-braced. I guess it comes down to what you feel comfortable with. I love the way my Viper opens and on few occasions I had line twists and it flew straight. There is one advantage in jumping HP canopy on WS: While you are unzipping, stowing, loosing up, you can steer the canopy with your legs, thing you cannot do with a lightly loaded canopy If you want to play safe make a good ten jumps with a bigger square. It's your call.Memento Audere Semper

I'm pretty sure that Blair has more than 10 jumps on bigger canopies, flying his V-1.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com

verticalflyer 11 #5 May 20, 2005 If you were happy with HP canopies full stop fine, if you were starting out then no HP is not the way to go until you have the warm feeling of consistent openings and the personal confidence. If you set up to use a HP canopy just because a beginer wingsuit design, what happens when you try a more advanced bigger wing will you be happy or have to change your canopy. Personally I use a Spectre 135, my wingsuit jumps are for high performance flight and flocking fun not HP landings. I am lucky enough to have 2 rigs and I dont mix it up. At the end of the day its a personal thing I have 450 WS jumps and have had 1 cutaway and that was with a Silhoutte 150 so sh*t happens, that was severe riser twists even though the video(herc2002 boogie video end credits sequence) shows clean on heading deployment and body position(one end cell closed and the twists went in fast), so who knows? Ceratinly I belive when I am knackered from flyign hard I like a nice easy opeing and a none ground hungry wing above my head. My 2cents worth Cheers FraserDont just talk about it, Do it! Helmut 0 #6 May 20, 2005 I jump a Katana 107 with a wing loading of 1.86 and have 15 jumps on a prodigy and have had no problems getting to risers. Also no problem running out swoops on landing! Great suit! Enjoy!
unclecharlie95 3 #7 May 20, 2005 There are obviously some variables like toggle position, riser length and slack in leg straps but you should be able to reach your toggles without problems. I could easily reach the toggles with both my skydiving and still air rigs. The spandex back panel gives you the extra reach you need. I agree with above comments for experienced wingsuit pilots about jumping a canopy you are comfortable with.BASEstore.it
