veter_ 0 #1 July 26, 2005 Following the posts about recent accidents and close calls, here's mine: I almost hit a lost helmet at 100+mph last weekend in Orange, MA. We did a 6-way out of CASA, one of the flyers got way down, he was about 300ft below and in front of me, when I saw a black object buzzing at high speed at just 30-50ft from me. As I watched it approach, I was confident that I won't hit it, so I didn't make any evasive maneuvers. He also lost goggles, I could have hit them, too.
