Tonto 1 #1 August 2, 2005 It's been 13 years since I last jumped this aircraft. We'll be using one for the African Freefall Convention later this year. When I think back to those days, I remember the exit speeds were fast, the air was hard and smooth. maretus 0 #2 August 2, 2005 We wingsuited from An-26 couple of years ago in Swedish Friflaj festival and by looking at the pics the two planes look pretty much alike. Sensei Vesa from Finland was really enjoying the high exit speed and climbing well above the plane on each exit. Fortunately I already typed the whole explanation in a PM to someone else so I'll just past it below... A few months ago I visited a friend in Netherlands. She took me to this monkey park/zoo in Apeldoorn where all these different kinds of monkeys run semi-free. The squirrel monkeys are the most friendly and will run up and climb all over you, but only because they are trying to find something to steal. They give you these bags called "monkey free bags" with special zippers to stow all your belongings in, since the monkeys can't operate the zippers. I think the name is funny, "monkey proof" would be more accurate, but I guess there are no monkeys INSIDE the bag, so monkey free works too. Tonto 1 #11 August 2, 2005 I'm not on the organising committee - but it looks set. The AN32 is for sure. The CASA is a maybe, mainly because the army will only allow 20 jumpers. There's a possible C-130 - but only if enough people register to make it worth it, and only for 3 days of the boogie. I've heard nothing about the Puma. I'm hoping for around 25 wingsuits - and that's from everywhere, so I think it's possible. It's 5 months away and the work started about 5 months ago. tIt's the year of the Pig.
