redfox 0 #1 October 11, 2005 Hello together, anyone else was flying the Acro already? I could fly mine last weekend over Locarno and was very impressed by it - but too few flights for this suit... (Hint: try some sharp maneuver! ;-) Backflying the Acro is very impressive - I was flocking with an S3 and it seems the Acro flies back better than some other suits. Who has experienced the same? The flight range is nice - flying slow without stalling it to flying fast seems easier than with other suits. The only thing I was missed first was the feeling of the grippers ;-) Need more flights on it, definitely! Best regards, Herwig P.S.: I am not working for Phoenix-Fly nor paid for posting this... mccordia 74 #2 October 11, 2005 QuoteThe only thing I was missed first was the feeling of the grippers I got to fly a matter suit last week, and was amazed at how much it killed my arms on just one flight. I think it's all due to the fact that it's 'new' muscles I was using, where I was way more used to the pf/bm kinda suits..palms up instead of down.. I could especially feel my shoulders burning.. How was the palms down flying on your muscles...? The position in which you fly (just body-wise, not talking flight performance) is a bit like MTR2/S-Fly suits right? Was it also heavier to you then your normal 'gripper' flying? (Or am I just a big, untrained pussy)...and if it was different or maybe lighter/easier...tell us! Quite curious to see some arco 'stuntwork' (same goes for phi) With all these new airobatic suits, I'd love to see someone ripping it through the sky on his/her back with some loops/rolls etc. thrown in.. Post video!"------------------------------------------------- Your wish is my command. I (and a few others from Z-Flock) have flown the Acro, the Phi, and the Firebird. I'm putting together a video on all three along with a (personal) "review". I put each one through it's paces. Expect it within a day or two. redfox 0 #4 October 12, 2005 I hoped nobody would ever ask me... Interestingly the muscles on my arms are not the ones I feel strongest - it are some muscles down the hips on the outside, the ones you use to spread your legs. With Wingsuitflying and Snowboarding you learn that you have more muscles you ever guessed before! Cordially, Herwig
