freeflysoul 0 #132 January 30, 2006 QuoteI don't know how set in stone the dates are, but in the same week, there is the atmo - wingsuit boogie (22 june/25 june) in France (more info on www.atmonauti.com) There is a big chance a lot of EU people will opt for that one (in terms of the cheaper travel)?Since the Atmonauti Team has moved on the new Skydive Marche Fly Zone in Fermo - Italy, we've changed the dates of the Atmo-Wingsuit Boogie, also scheduling some wingsuits big ways training camps on Skydive Marche DZ... So, we can all go to Russia without missing the other Boogies in Europe... 3,2,1,C-YA!!! V. BASE #1075 / BMI #I-002 / PFI #042 / EGI #

Birdman_Mike 0 #135 February 20, 2006 Matt, The demand for travel to Moscow in the Summer is greater than that in the Winter. Several of my Russian friends have told me that $1500 from Tulsa, OK is a good deal in the Summer, but let me know if you find anything better. Of course, I will pay a few extra hundred dollars for a shorter flight! I believe that this demand difference is more of a driver in the price than the jet fuel price. In fact, it is not difficult for the airlines to hedge their jet fuel exposure with Asian options, or forward supply contracts. Our trading shop has facilitated these types of contracts with airlines in the past. However, that does not stop the airlines from publicly blaming high jet fuels prices for their high ticket prices. I'm going to wait to get my ticket until I determine the exact dates that I plan to travel. Most likely, I will spend at least two weeks, probably three weeks, in Europe for this trip. Regardless of the price, we need all the good flockers to show up to build the forty+ way. So, find a way to get there :) Mike
nathaniel 0 #136 February 21, 2006 hmm...I'd get at least 15000 air miles out of the trip...15000 air miles is worth about $200 at the 1.3 cents per mile rate that I got for the PR boogie...so it's really only a $1100 ticket instead of a $1300 ticket My advice is to do what your parents did; get a job, sir. The bums will always lose. Do you hear me, Lebowski?

skyflyingbecca 0 #143 March 30, 2006 Since this event seems to have originated out of the collapse of the Herc Boogie, does anyone have an idea of how likely its going to end up being every year vs. every 2? If someone knows, please PM me or post here. I would think the organizers are going to wait to see how this year goes before carving anything in stone, but an idea(if there is one) would be great.
