mccordia 74 #5 August 23, 2006 Translated through Altavista "man on the photo did not suffer" probably means he didnt get hurt *edit* small ps. cut and paste job, shows the 'altitude' better...man thats low..JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
AveE 0 #6 August 23, 2006 holy $#it! that is what i call LOW opening.... the text above says: "cool, real low opening. the man on the photo didnt get hurt" comments on that site say nothing...
cpoxon 0 #7 August 23, 2006 Nice cut and paste job Jarno. Did you do it manually or automate it some how? I did a rough calculation, assuming the penultimate picture is pretty much the full height of the jumper and assuming they are 6 foot tall (1.8m), it takes up 62 pixels on the screen. From the touch down point to the top of the picture is 861 pixels. That makes the maximum height of the picture at 83 feet (25 m)?? Sound about right? Is the jumper Russian?Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live
mccordia 74 #8 August 23, 2006 QuoteNice cut and paste job Jarno. Did you do it manually or automate it some how? Quick manual method..(insert easy sex joke here) Overlay the photo's at 50% so you can line up the background (clouds). Then put it at 100% again and use a colour selection to empty out the background so the previous picture shows through..took about 5 minutes to do this one.. There's a few pictures missing (tossing pilotchute etc.) at the start, so its a few meters more..but yea....25 top 30 meters... For me, a mix of 'wow that cool' and 'damn that dude is tired of living, how stupid can you be'JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
Costyn 1 #9 August 23, 2006 Quote*edit* small ps. cut and paste job, shows the 'altitude' better...man thats low.. Holy crap that is fucking low.. that is lowpulling redefined... OMG. Nice job Jarno, looks pretty cool. So, yeah who is the guy with the balls of steel and no sense of self preservation. Looks like a slider up pack job. Is that standard for wingsuit base? gus 1 #10 August 23, 2006 QuoteLooks like a slider up pack job. Is that standard for wingsuit base? Most definitely. Your fallrate may be slow but your total velocity is as high as a normal terminal jump. GusOutpatientsOnline.com
mdrejhon 8 #11 August 23, 2006 Quotehttp://fishki.net/comment.php?id=13008Wow. Full inflation only at touchdown. Slider not even all the way down when 10 feet above ground. I'm certainly not having a low-pull contest with that guy.
