Lightning bridle attachment

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a used lightning 126 with no bridle or pilot chute. I ordered a new bridle from PD. It came today but with no instructions on how to attach it to the canopy. The bridle is red dacron with fingertrapped loops at both ends an a stop sewn in for the bag. Can anyone help with how to attach it and route it through the rings on the canopy?
Thanks,
Mike

The Lightings routing for the bridle is center ring, right ring, left ring, center ring, pilot chute best I recall. The one loop is for attaching to the center ring, the other end is for attaching to the Pilot chute. The Lightning should have its dbag just sliding on the dacron line and the pin gets caught on the fingertrapped dacron line that extends on the main red line.

I'd personally look at ditching the dbag and getting a Tail pocket installed on the canopy. It makes it a lot nicer for fast clean pack jobs and openings.
