LouDiamond 1 #1 September 30, 2006 Congrats to Kevin(McDuck). Kevin, a fellow Raefordite, took his new Firebird R for its initial flight today. From this day forward he shall no longer be known as Sonic beef. He is now Flying beef . Good job Kevin, see ya on the DZ."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
SkymonkeyONE 4 #2 September 30, 2006 I was under the impression that Kevin had already jumped his suit and it tore. I know that this was the first jump on the suit since it got back from the factory.
LouDiamond 1 #3 September 30, 2006 According to Kevin, on that jump he never actually flew but rather spun/tumbled down to pull altitude. Today he actually flew for the first time after getting the ground training.Either way, he finally got his bird on. We're gonna bust some more tomorrow for sure."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING

McDuck 0 #5 October 1, 2006 Cora says she's going to take things one discipline at a time. She's learning her sit right now. When she's ready, I'm sure she'll let me know. Both you and Scott are correct, Sir SM1: it was my first attempt after getting the suit back from the factory, but the first actual flight even remotely resembling the manner of flight the suit was designed for. Thanks Scott! You took what had been a growing unease after my first botched attempt to fly that suit, and gave me the training needed to try again. Granted, I have much more work to do before I can be considered even mildly proficient, but I have more confidence in myself after working with you. Thanks, my friend. We'll definitely bust some more out this weekend. Anyone reading this who hasn't jumped a wingsuit yet but is contemplating it, do yourself a favor and indulge in the ground training. It's well worth the time and effort involved. Seriously.Kevin - Sonic Beef #5 - OrFun #28 "I never take myself too seriously, 'cuz everybody know fat birds don't fly." - FLC Online communities: proof that people never mature much past high school. McDuck 0 #9 October 1, 2006 QuoteBe fwee McDuck Be fwee!!!! We missed you out there today, Arvel. And you missed my first relatively successful flight in my suit. Although I still looked like a pole-axed cow on landing, it more because I was amazed I got some of the process right...also because I had to cover some serious ground under canpoy as payment for not flying a proper pattern during wingsuit flight. McDuck 0 #11 October 2, 2006 Thanks, my friend! I made two more on Sunday. One with Scott and another friend of mine named Chris, and another one with Scott and my buddy John. I still have quite a bit of work to do before I find that sweet spot and actually fly the suit more efficiently, but I'm working on it.Kevin - Sonic Beef #5 - OrFun #28 "I never take myself too seriously, 'cuz everybody know fat birds don't fly." - FLC Online communities: proof that people never mature much past high school.
