boachanoff 0 #1 January 17, 2007 Hi Does anyone know about the new suit from PF?! Can't wait to see what this will be like?! http://www.phoenix-fly.com/articles%20stvari/newsletter2006.pdf

SkymonkeyONE 4 #3 January 17, 2007 I was told that it was going to be an "improved" Phantom derivative. That's second hand from a conversation one of our visiting wingsuiters had with Rob Jones at Morpheus. Other than that suit? Who knows.
MarkM 0 #4 January 17, 2007 A new wingsuit being unveiled at the Flock and Dock? So is Flock and Dock gonna be the E3 of the wingsuiting world?
SkymonkeyONE 4 #5 January 17, 2007 Flock will very-probably be the first time each of the biggest/fastest/newest wingsuits from at least three manufacturers all fly together at the same time. I fly with V1's and V2's, Mach1's and other Tony stuff all the time, but it will be neat to see someone like Robi fly their suit against someone like Jeff in his Mach1. It will be neat to see how the Blade compares to those two as well. I figure there will be at least one of those there as well.
Buried 0 #6 January 17, 2007 you've been too spoiled in zhills. how are you going to live anywhere else? Maybe just wait until FL dips under the ocean? I can bring my sfly and we'd prob have suits there from all *current* manufacturers there Where is my fizzy-lifting drink?
SkymonkeyONE 4 #7 January 17, 2007 Please do! While this event is "proudly sponsored by Phoenix Fly/Morpheus", it is an all-brands/all experience level event. I would HOPE that every suit on the market, by all manufacturers, is present and available for demo.
unclecharlie95 3 #8 January 17, 2007 Quote an "improved" Phantom derivative. The new suit has been designed from scratch, it is not a Phantom derivative. I have a "black" phantom prototype that some people have seen me jumping but that is for testing something else...BASEstore.it

01Blade 0 #10 January 18, 2007 is this a respons to all of the new higher perfomance wing suits that have come out this year.deinflate your ego
VectorBoy 0 #11 January 18, 2007 Quoteis this a respons to all of the new higher perfomance wing suits that have come out this year. Despite the claim of a higher performance from some other manufacturers I'm not sure they are touching the envelope already provided by existing PF models. I think the new suit is aimed at a specific audience who share a specific goal or rather a type of flying that has gained popularity recently. I could be wrong about the second paragraph but certainly not the first one.

What is the "type of flying that has gained popularity recently"? I thought there were only two, max out or stall? Android+Wear/iOS/Windows apps: L/D Vario, Smart Altimeter, Rockdrop Pro, Wingsuit FAP iOS only: L/D Magic Windows only: WS Studio
VectorBoy 0 #13 January 18, 2007 What is the "type of flying that has gained popularity recently"? I thought there were only two, max out or stall? Its more of a type of flying that has reached popularity with the audience. Flying where there is a close flirtation with the terrain, rock, trees, shrubs. I don't do it, but I don't think it is about max flight Vs stall but more about finesse and control. I might be wrong about the second paragraph but not the first. We are also working on a suit with the VKB, this suit is in on going development (it was on the PF site last year). pierre3636 0 #15 January 18, 2007 thats a great idea - suits and pilots are becoming specialists - they dont simply progress from smallest to biggest suit anymore ~ time is ~ time was ~ times past ~
