mccordia 74 #1 March 12, 2007 Boogie Time Skydive Texel is proud to host the Queensday boogie. 30 April is a national holiday, where the birthday of our Dutch queen is celebrated. So for 3 long days, Skydive Texel will be your local party centre, with 2 Cessna Grand Caravans and plenty of Altitude (13K), good parties and (ofcourse!) also 'a bit' of drinking. Whats there to do? Wingsuit jumps! We've been asked to do the wingsuit load organising and (for those interested) we're also offering 1 on 1 coaching. All jumps will have outside video, and will be briefed and debriefed in an always fun, and constructive way! Depending on the number of people, we'll keep the groups small, so we can focus on everyones individual wishes! Cool simple dives, aimed at building skills for the lesser experienced. And challenging technical dives with more dynamic flying of multiple points for the skilled flyers.. And at the last day of the boogie, we put it all together in a bigger flock! First Flights We'll also be bringing our trusty fleet of beginners suits, and will give a (free) first flight course at the end of the first day, with the actual jumps taking place first thing in the morning the next day. If you have special needs in terms of suit size, let us know in advance so we can arrange a suit for you. So..whats Texel like For those who havent been there before, take a look at this video from 2 years ago. The view is unbeatable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mupbLSge48g The dropzone has teamrooms, a huge landing area (with beer-line), and next to the jumping a bunch of the coolest people from all over Holland and Belgium gathered in one place. There's a nice bar/hotel nearby, with cheep skydiver-rates. How do I get there? For those living on the mainland its easy. Just drive to Den Helder (slighly above Amsterdam) and from their, its only a short boatride to the island. If driving is not doable, book a cheep flight to Amsterdam Intl Airport/Schiphol through one of the many budget airlines (easyjet etc) and from there its 40 minutes or so in the train, and onto the boat and to the island! Sounds hot..count me in! If you think..hey...that sounds like my kinda thing! Join us! Drop us a line at flylikebrick#gmail.com so we can ad your name to the list (for the organisers) And in just over a month or so, we'll see you there! All the best, and dont forget to smile!JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
