woodpecker 0 #1 March 18, 2007 Just got back from the Dublin Boogie and though there were some BAD things that happened....a few good ones happened for some of us as well. I took the wing suit class offered by Chuck Blue and KAAKAAAWWWW Flew a GTI, 52mph average speed...my coach sunk under me and couldnt lift back up to me so ended up being a solo, and other than the wicked front flip I pulled at pitch time (forgot to bring the legs in when I reached for the hackey) it was flawless and awsome. Flew some other wing on wingsuit 2 (hated the suit) but again, a great flight. Did a 7 way flock....though I was way above and just followed, still kewl! What a great time. thanks chuck and hushpuppy for the great times and especially for getting me started with wings. Billy "woodpecker" NCFITZ accomplished his first wingsuit as well.....more from him later I'm sure.SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on? mbondvegas 0 #2 March 19, 2007 Congrats dude! 52 seems pretty good for flight 1. It looks like you weigh like 125 or so (based on your wing loading) how tall are you? Did you flip through your risers on deployment???- - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
woodpecker 0 #3 March 19, 2007 I'm 154 out the door and weight 138 without rig, and 5 7. Didnt flip though my risers, I actually just went head down when I reached back for the hackey, so didnt pull and completed a front flip. Got stable again, and when I went for the hackey again, remembered to bring my legs in too. awsome flight.SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on? ncfitzge 0 #8 March 20, 2007 I have to agree with Woodpecker. My first flight was sweet. Monkey Lips was my couch and did an awesome job. As soon as I get back from Korea I will be getting my own suit. Fitz#148 Sonic Scrat "Have you ever kissed a rabbit between the eyes?"
