I use home-made slinks very similar to the HiPer ones here: http://www.hiperusa.com/Softlinks.html I put the soft link on one leg pad, and the bungee on the other. I put a loop on the end of the bungee (I use an end-of-line bowline), and attach the soft link to that. monkycndo 0 #32 December 21, 2012 Brian, that works as well. I prefer my concept as both ends are attached to a leg strap and can't go anywhere. When the slink is taken off, it can get lost. And a closing loop is easier to come by compared to a slink. I'm all about being thrifty.50 donations so far. Give it a try.
