WhiteFang 0 #1 April 21, 2007 I have a question. Is there a wavier a new birdman pilot needs to sign before they jump? If so, where does a new pilot get it? Thanks
skydave114 0 #2 April 21, 2007 never heard of any such thing, but if there is, get a different brand suit!
LouDiamond 1 #3 April 21, 2007 The waiver that Birdman originally wrote and has since been copied by others, is a demo /liability waiver for BMIs who are taking people on their first flights and or are allowing others to demo suits. It entails the usual liability release legalese as well as an agreement that if you damage the suit, you are responsible for the repair costs. The waiver is designed for Birdman Inc and for the BMIs. It is encumbent on the BMI to have people fill these out for their own protection. If you are not a BMI you don't have to worry about the waiver. BMIs typically receive this document when they go through the instructor course."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
mccordia 74 #4 April 21, 2007 Its something you wil almost never see in europe. We do make the same agreements. You break it, you buy it. And you fly, so you're responsible. But problems with liability (and lawsuits that follow) is something you dont really see here.JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Thanks The waiver can be downloaded off of the BirdMan site. Where we use them, generally, is at boogies where we are doing FFC's and organizing. Anywhere where we feel accountability might be an issue. Chuck BMCI-
VectorBoy 0 #6 April 21, 2007 Quote never heard of any such thing, but if there is, get a different brand suit! The other manufacturers don't have waivers, just better flying wingsuits. ( its raining here I couldn't resist, sorry)
SkymonkeyONE 4 #7 April 21, 2007 That's not an accurate statement at all, Glen. I know of at least two other manufacturers who use waivers on the road.
