outrager 6 #1 June 24, 2007 V2: zero wind, best flights from #1 were to the fence line past White House. 2.0km distance, 930m alt, pulling at 150m and substracting 100m for the start gives L/D of 2.9 (same as at ITW). As a side note, 6m/s tail wind adds about 300m distance or 0.5 L/D at this site Prodigy: #8 to LZ, 1.5km distance and 930m alt, pulling at 100+m, L/D comes to about 2.1. The wind is not a big factor at this site. bsbd! Yuri.
KrisFlyZ 0 #2 June 25, 2007 Nice Not fair for direct comparision to skydives because of altitude (air density) and rig size. Kris.

yuri_base 1 #5 June 27, 2007 Quote2.0km distance, 930m alt, pulling at 150m and substracting 100m for the start gives L/D of 2.9 I think this is underestimate. L/D can be more accurately estimated by integrating the wingsuit equations and trying to match the horizontal and vertical distance. Using this Excel spreadsheet, for 6666ft horizontally and 2600ft vertically L/D comes to about 3.5. Quote1.5km distance and 930m alt, pulling at 100+m, L/D comes to about 2.1 5000ft horizontally, 2770ft vertically: L/D = 2.5Android+Wear/iOS/Windows apps: L/D Vario, Smart Altimeter, Rockdrop Pro, Wingsuit FAP iOS only: L/D Magic Windows only: WS Studio
