WestCoast Wingsuits Weekend Oct 12th-14th 2007

Recommended Posts

Bob the Slug has to CANCEL!

Things at home have gotten out of hand with relatives arriving from out of town and my general attitude the recent deaths in the Caravan crash.

Guess I will need to stay home and do relative work. ;-)

Please have a good time and I will see you in the spring meet if not before. Still hoping for a video from the event.

And who has good plans for somewhere I can go in the next couple months?

So, what a weekend. The weather didn't quite cooperate on Friday. But it made up for it by being perfect both Saturday and Sunday. Lots of fun flocks, good food and Scott was only taken out once. By me. On exit out the door.:$ Thanks to all the out of towners that made the trip. James came out from Z-hizzy post F&D 3.5 to flock with us west coast birds. The Northwesterners and SoCal contingent were well represented. Ira even brought his brother along to make some observer rides.

A few memories to ponder:

Where would you be on the train?
Spherical horses in a vacuum.
Things that can be done with a banana.:o
Back rubs.
The pigeon apocalypse in the tower.
Long chats about ex-boyfriends.
Below me.
Yes, pretzels do taste good in ice cream.

See y'all in the spring for Ed's WWW.

50 donations so far. Give it a try.

On my way back east ;) I had a great time at Lodi.

Thank you to Ed & Michelle, Lodi DZ and all the participants; Reg, Tony, Scott, Wes, Sean, Ira, Chris, Xavier, Rob, Pete, Dave, Dingo, Timmy, Avery and anyone else whose name i have forgotten.

We made 11 flocks during Sat/ Sun, the largest being a 16 way. The skill level was good and the west coast proved they flock hard with nice forward speed and fall rates in the 60s (and even the 50s).

Some people had to leave early on Sunday so we took the chance to do some smaller multi point flocks.

If you get the chance to attend a Westcoast Wingsuit Weekend - do it. You won't be disappointed, good people, good dz, good flocks and good wine :)
Hope to see you in the air again soon,
J

Thanks for the jumps, they were "Good Timez!" Also really nice to put a face to a name! Thanks of course to Ed for the hospitality and looking forward to flocking down there again...

Nice pics :)

I hope the "wrap" was worth it.. You just dont care about us any more since you bagged on 2 events now. At least Ira showed up to give some SoCal representation... Good flying was seen so was it worth it to jump through hoops like a trained animal while trying to get noticed and move up from the "D-List" :P

Lets be clear I didn't bag on two events. With the mother in law in Oregon at the time I never intended on entering the state. Besides last time I was too slow in my Acro or too fast in my Vampire. Yes, the wrap was worth it! I got a picture of it here that would give most jumpers the heebe de jeebedus.
