jakee 1,500 #3 July 19, 2007 Quote better? Well, not reallyF'r instance I currently have both a BM and PF intermediate suit, and for most applications I much prefer the PF - but that doesn't automatically mean that when/ if I move up to a higher performance suit I will automatically choose PF again. That will depend on how the higher performance suits match up against each other for what I want out of them.Do you want to have an ideagasm?
mariavon 0 #4 July 19, 2007 This poll may serve wingsuit manufacturers very well, and YOU the pilots in turn. We would all love to know how many different wingsuits in circulation have been flown by how many pilots, (given that only maybe 50% of you turn up for the poll ) Perhaps the poll can include a) number of respondents and b) multiples of suits flown and c) ... ok don't say which suit you love best ... that is too un-scientific. Please, this is a worthwhile poll... who do you all do it with ? (pronounced G - jii is the force that makes you fly!) Jii-Wings - no strings!
mariavon 0 #5 July 19, 2007 I would PREFER this thread to be re-named WHAT SUIT HAVE YOU FLOWN? less opinion and more fact is what wingsuit development needs .. start with a census, then move to opinion, via empirical data... of which I put limited faith so far in the few structured competitions dotting the wingsuit calender to date... VectorBoy 0 #6 July 19, 2007 Meticulous R$D with accurate quantifiable follow up testing will serve the manufacturers and us the consumer in turn. A "magic filter" other than time to bypass all of the fashion and marketing hype would also serve the would be consumer. But it doesn't exist. So to answer your question I like the company that does a lot of R$D and I don't like the company that has hype as their main export. In the end it does not matter what I like. Junky products don't have staying power, bad customer service, slow delivery times and high prices let the manufacturer know quickly right in their books if they are not serving the market. VectorBoy 0 #7 July 19, 2007 Quote start with a census, then move to opinion,. That opinion based discussion will have us augering into the this brand is better than that brand scenario and have a bunch of regular forum denizens complaining. The first responders will cry foul after a few counter opinions. They are a sensitive bunch..... its been known to happen.
mccordia 74 #8 July 20, 2007 What you'd really need for a poll like this is the sales figures of each manufacturer..? Aside from that, its not much of a true face of whats out there. You hardly see any frenchies on this forum, yet look around on any french DZ, and theres more S-Flys out there then you can count. I wouldnt be surprised (seeing the amount of suits flyyourbody has sold in france/spain etc) if they are actually one of the largest players (just in terms of # suits on the market) At least for this part of the EU..JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
