skyjumpsteve 0 #5 October 3, 2007 Magenta Mike (that's what he should be called) was with us at Pepperell this past weekend for an absolutely phenomenal few days of flocking. We did some cool shit and even got to hit up the Nashsua wind-tunnel when we had a brief wind hold on Saturday. Anyway, on Sunday we had some glorious clouds that would have made you drool. On one flock we got a little more than a little far out (OK OK we were really out there!) due to clouds, poor navigation, and not wanting to be near tandems when we opened. The DZO had a word with us when we got down (multiple people had already landed out earlier in the day) and said "maybe today isn't a good day to wingsuit"....you should have friggin' seen Mike! "NO NO NO....TODAY IS THE BEST DAY EVER TO WINGSUIT.....YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND". It was priceless and was definitely a Purple Mike moment. Saturday night we went out to a Wingsuit dinner at the Texas RoadHouse and within 30 seconds he was picking up the hostess who must have been all of 17 or 18. People working on the flying within the formation (multiple points, difficult slots on multiple levels etc) instead of just 40 people working on getting to the formation and half of them never getting there?But without overanalysing..It was just a word choosen to describe what Ive been reading about the F&D meetings...bigways on .0 versions..smaller flocks aiming at more complex things then just flat formations on the 0.5 versions.....dont read too much into it....JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
