unclecharlie95 3 #1 January 24, 2008 I made a presentation to the FAI International Parachute Commission this evening. I had the last slot of the day so tried to keep it short and light. Thank you to Jarno for providing video of Cochstedt and Team Topgun for the presentation, I also showed the Stupino 07 video. The presentation and video went over well. For the moment resources are focused on VRW but lets see what happens in the future.. Email or PM me if you would like a copy of the presentation. unclecharlie95 3 #9 May 7, 2008 The way forward: wingsuit competitions as part of the annual national events Email from Graeme Windsor, IPC President: Quote Dear James, With the starts already made, wing suit competitions will clearly develop further as participation increases. It will be important to keep in mind the presentation aspect to media and the public - we are confronting this with our existing disciplines more and more, so much so that the World Games 2009 participation by parachuting is contingent on live freefall transmissions for public viewing. One way of increasing interest in competition might be through using existing wing suit aficionados to encourage wing suit competitions in their countries, with an aim to inclusion in their National Championships. The IPC delegates of those nations will then be in a better position to consider rule drafting and FAI/IPC sanctioned test events. Best of luck with it - certainly wing suit skydiving has a growing participation rate in my own experience! Kind regards, Graeme Windsor President, International Parachute CommissionBASEstore.it
