Skydive Orange Wingsuit Weekend - May 10 & 11 - Brothers Gray Organizing

Recommended Posts

If there is enough interest and the weather finally cooperates ... we are planning to have a wingsuit weekend at Skydive Orange May 10th and 11th.

We will be offering first flight training and basic flocking skill development.

We will adjust the complexity of the dives to the desires and skill level of the group.

If there is interest please post here or send me a PM.

I expect we will have at least 5 - 6 birds for some small ways.

If things go well, we will move to some more technical dives.

We will have a handful of flyers local to Skydive Orange.

There are a number of competiing regional events that are providing competition for the participants.

There are a couple of people looking for first flight instruction and some coaching.

I expect we will have a smallish group, this is almost better to get some focused skills development going.

Both of us were working ... but made it out Sunday.

I think Brian got 8 jumps, me 7, and Chris 6.

Yeah -- been looking at the weather. If it looks really crapy we may reschedule this.

Sounds like everyone is local so no travel / lodging plans would be impacted.

We have made the decision to RESCHEDULE the wingsuit weekend. :(:|There are storms today and Monday, as well as bad weather for Saturday AM and all Sunday.

There is always the chance it could improve or get worse, the forecast has been trending towad the negative this week. While we likely could get a couple jumps in Saturday afternoon, it would not provide the continuity needed to really focus on skills development. Historically it takes 2 - 3 jumps for the group to get into a grove in terms of knocking the dust off and adjusting to average fall rate and forward speed.

We will look for another date and monitor the weather for some focused training time with 5 - 6 jumps per day.B|

STAY TUNED !!!;)
