How old is your rig

Recommended Posts

It's the Mirage (I put Rapid Transit to differentiate it from the current Mirage). It was the follow-on to the RTS. Low chest strap, main container about the same, but the reserve is way different -- pins against the back, and a big sort-of triangular flap covering the pilot chute. unbelievably comfortable.

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

I quit jumping for a number of years, and used it when I came back. Folks would give me a hard time about it (comments about museums), and my universal all-purpose answer was "I bought it new" and they'd get real quiet all of a sudden :)

Probably should have allowed for multiple selections for those of us with two rigs. One rig is 15 years old, and the other is three years old. They both have advantages and disadvantages. I'm really impressed that they last so long and maintain their useful life.
Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD
