mccordia 74 #26 August 16, 2009 No..not a handicap system. In short, the same 0 to 100% weighted scores for each round (much like the one used at marl, and the first edition of the ws comp. Last year).JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

mccordia 74 #33 August 31, 2009 Phoenix-Fly and the DZ (terni) are the ones hosting and arranging the competition in terms of details. A pdf with more specific rules wil be available before the competition. In terms of formations/points, they should be flown as presented/written above. Missed/skipped/changed points/positions/docks wont count, and make a whole sequence invalid untill the correct dock/position is shown. Pretty much the same as fs/ff rules in competitions.JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

mccordia 74 #42 September 5, 2009 the scoring Costyn is working on an online scoring app. So everyone csn follow how each of the teams is doing. Each round will be judged based on three criterea: docks - number of points made camerawork - 1/10 score style - artistic vallue. How clean are docks, how well does the team fly, how smooth do the do their transitions. 1/10 score These three added up will result in a score per round. Each round will then result in a 0-100 % score. Best team scores 100%, last team 0%. The weighted scores from the 5 rounds added up result in the final winner. In case of a tie, the score total (non weighted) will be used to see who comes out on top. For round 5 (artistic) only camerawork and artistic vallue will be whats looked at by the judges. No use of props allowed. The flying is what we want to see. Exit to breakoff is the only thing judged. Friday is the first competitionday, though teams are allowed to start thursday already if they want (or in case of bad weather). Announce commencing beforehand. Once the 1st round has been jumped, every following jump is s competitionjump/round. 3 rounds already make a valid competition, should we be weathered out. Intentional lowpulls will result in immediate disqualification of the whole team. Cya all wednesday evening!JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Costyn 1 #46 September 8, 2009 Quote the scoring Costyn is working on an online scoring app. So everyone csn follow how each of the teams is doing. The live scoreboard is finally live! http://www.wingsuitcompetition.com/scores/ Sorry it took a while. I'm on vacation in Switserland, and there's not much time for coding. I've added all the teams that say in this thread they are coming, with the exception of the Italian teams which I'll add as soon as I know their names. If you are coming and are not on the scoreboard, let me know and vice versa. Quote These three added up will result in a score per round. Each round will then result in a 0-100 % score. Best team scores 100%, last team 0%. Correction: 1st place will get 100%, 2nd place will get their score as a percentage of the points of 1st place. So in this simple example: (corrected example! ) Round 1: * Team A: 16 points = 100% * Team B: 12 points = 75% * Team C: 8 points = 50% Round 2: * Team B: 12 points = 100% * Team A: 8 points = 66% * Team C: 8 points = 66% Total: * Team B: 175 * Team A: 166 * Team C: 116 Team B wins the competition, A has second place, C third. The points are the number of docks flown + flying style + camera work. The only way to get 0% on a round is to score 0 points. This is the same scoring we use for the Paralog Performance Competition.
